Dear all, please join me at giving Evert a big CONGRATULATIONS for the acceptance of his first paper Separating intrinsic and scattering attenuation in full waveform sonic logging with radiative transfer theory in Geophysical Journal International! This is a significant part of his thesis where he has put a huge amount of effort.

Steve Brennan received the best student poster award at the 4th International Workshop of Rock Physics in Trondheim, Norway. There were 110 attendees covering a range of topics from laboratory to seismic. In addition to the honour Steve received a cash prize and special Norwegian chocolates. Congratulations Steve!

Congratulations to Shreya (and co-authors) for her first – of many to come – peer-reviewed publication. The manuscript titled  Dissolution and secondary mineral precipitation in basalts due to reactions with carbonic acid has been accepted for publication in JGR-Solid Earth.
